Our Story

The English translation of the word Nazara is “beautiful scenery”. Dining at Nazara will invoke the same feelings of happiness and contentment you would experience when gazing upon a beautiful scenery. At Nazara, we believe in doing things the Nazara way which means no compromises when it comes to freshness, quality, and service.

The friendship between owner Sunny and executive chef Mangal goes back over 15 years. Chef Mangal has owned and operated several restaurants around the country over the last two decades. He has much experience in North Indian, South Indian and Tandoor specialities. Owner and manager Sunny has worked and managed Azitra in Raleigh for 10 years. His service, style, and management skills are unparalleled.

Our Food

Our food is inspired by the authentic home cooking of beautiful and taste-rich India. Don’t let the contemporary look of the restaurant fool you, as you will be served traditional home made as well as contemporary food. We feature an ever-changing menu that is sure to please meat and seafood eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike. We also carry many menu items that are Jain friendly and Gluten Free.

At Nazara we are like a big extended family so we expect our family members to be forgiving with a “pinch of salt” in our shortcomings and generous with a “season to taste” in praise where due! Come dine at Nazara and become part of our family!

Warm atmosphere

The ambiance at Nazara is very soothing and enchanting which can be used for the formal gathering of small private parties, conferences, and informal get-together. The place is well lit with soothing lighting, not too harsh or too dim. To complement this popular Indian music is making guests comfortable in their seats. The seating plan doesn't hinder the movement of guests & service staff.
